Job summary

Fatherson International Fze is seeking a seasoned mechanical estimator in the UAE to review tender documents and perform quantity take-offs for HVAC, ductwork, and related systems. You will evaluate supplier quotations and analyze drawings to ensure accurate, competitive cost estimates for tender submissions.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of UAE MEP estimation experience, strong AutoCAD and MS Excel skills, and the ability to read MEP drawings and tender specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in mechanical estimation, UAE MEP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water piping, ductwork, ventilation, and mechanical equipment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of UAE market rates, supplier pricing, and subcontractor quotations.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and tender documents.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope to identify project requirements.
• Perform quantity take-offs for HVAC ductwork, chilled water piping, ventilation systems, and mechanical equipment.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for competitive pricing.
• Analyse project drawings to identify discrepancies, missing details, and potential cost variations.
• Prepare rate analysis, cost comparisons, and budget estimates.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and internal project teams.
• Follow up with suppliers and subcontractors for updated prices and offers.
• Ensure estimates are accurate and submitted within tender deadlines.
