Job summary

Fatherson International is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator in the UAE to review tender documents, perform quantity take-offs for HVAC systems, and evaluate supplier quotes for competitive pricing. The role requires reading MEP drawings and preparing cost analyses to support bids.

The candidate should have 4–6 years in mechanical estimation, with strong HVAC and AutoCAD/MS Excel skills, familiar with UAE market rates and tender processes. On-site work in UAE is expected.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of mechanical estimation experience, UAE MEP contracting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water piping, ductwork, ventilation, and mechanical equipment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of UAE market rates, supplier pricing, and subcontractor quotations.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and tender documents.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work to identify project requirements.
• Perform quantity take-offs for HVAC ductwork, chilled water piping, ventilation systems, and mechanical equipment.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
• Analyse project drawings and identify discrepancies, missing details, and potential cost variations.
• Prepare rate analysis, cost comparisons, and budget estimates.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and internal project teams.
• Follow up with suppliers and subcontractors for updated prices and technical offers.
• Ensure estimates are accurate and submitted within tender deadlines.
