Job summary

OnePoint Consultants DWC LLC invites an experienced MEP Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join our Dubai team. You will review tender documents, prepare detailed take-offs, and assemble cost estimates for mechanical and electrical works across projects.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 4+ years of UAE/India MEP exposure, and strong skills in AutoCAD and MS Excel. Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant MEP contracting experience in UAE or India.
• Experience in MEP estimation and quantity surveying for mechanical/electrical works.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting and electrical systems.
• Ability to study tender documents, drawings and BOQs.
• Expertise in quantity take-off and detailed cost estimates.
• Experience in BOQs, rate analysis and cost breakdowns.
• Ability to obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Knowledge of UAE market rates and MEP specs.
• Experience in tender submissions and commercial proposals.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel and estimation-related software.
• Good analytical, negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and BOQs.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for mechanical and electrical MEP works.
• Estimate material, labour, equipment and subcontractor costs.
• Prepare cost estimates, rate analysis and tender quotations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Evaluate supplier quotations and prepare comparison statements.
• Identify discrepancies, missing items and variations in tender documents.
• Coordinate with the Project, Procurement and Commercial teams for technical and commercial clarifications.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of tenders and quotations.
• Maintain estimation records and cost databases.
