Job summary

Parsons in the UAE seeks an MEP Inspector to join the Construction Supervision team for a major infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi.

You will inspect mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA works, verify conformance with drawings and specs, witness testing and commissioning, and maintain inspection records and reports while ensuring HSE compliance. Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and authorities to resolve site issues and support handover documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in construction inspection/supervision.
• Experience on stormwater/wastewater/water pumping projects.
• Knowledge of QA/QC, ITPs, method statements and standards.
• Ability to read drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong HSE knowledge and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor all mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA works related to stormwater pumping stations.
• Verify construction activities per drawings, specs, contract requirements and standards; document observations.
• Witness installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities for pumps and control systems.
• Review materials delivered and verify compliance with submittals.
• Monitor contractor compliance with ITPs and QA procedures.
• Report non-conforming works and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
• Maintain inspection records and prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractor and stakeholders to resolve site issues.
• Assist in review of as-built drawings, O&M manuals and handover docs.
• Support project closeout activities including final inspections and snagging.

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented MEP Inspectorto join our Construction Supervision team! In this role you will inspect and monitor MEP works formajor infrastructure project ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, standards and HSE requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Inspect and monitor all mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and SCADA works related to stormwater pumping stations.
• Verify that construction activities are performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and applicable standards. Conduct routine site inspections and document observations, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
• Witness installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities for pumps, electrical equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Review materials delivered to site and verify compliance with approved material submittals.
• Monitor contractor compliance with approved method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures.
• Report non-conforming works and coordinate corrective actions with the Contractor and supervising engineers.
• Ensure compliance with project Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inspection reports.
• Coordinate with the Assistant Resident Engineer, Resident Engineer, Contractor, and relevant stakeholders to resolve site issues and ensure smooth project progress.
• Assist in the review of as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and handover documentation.
• Support project closeout activities, including final inspections and snagging works.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree inMechanical Engineering,Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum5 yearsexperience in construction inspection/supervision on infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience onstormwater/wastewater/water utility/pumping stationprojects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment (pumps, piping), electrical installations, instrumentation,SCADA, and testing/commissioning activities.
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures,ITPs, method statements, and applicable construction standards.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Good understanding of constructionHSErequirements.
• Strong reporting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and inspection reporting systems.
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants, clients, and relevant authorities.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Previous experience on major stormwater pumping station projects in the UAE or GCC region.
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authority requirements, standards and approval processes.
• Experience witnessing testing, commissioning and performance verification of pumping station systems.
• Professional certifications related to construction inspection, quality management or health and safety.
