Job summary

Zohorecruit in Dubai Silicon Oasis is seeking an experienced MEPEngineer to lead MEP design and on-site execution for interior fit-out projects. The role requires strong HVAC, firefighting, drainage and water supply expertise, and hands-on shop drawing and coordination with design teams.

Candidates must have 5–7 years of mechanical/MEP design experience, AutoCAD and Carrier HAP proficiency, and be available for immediate joining in Dubai.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
• 5–7 years of experience in mechanical/MEP design.
• Experience with design consultancy or interior fit-out preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, firefighting, drainage, and water supply systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Carrier HAP.
• Revit MEP knowledge is an advantage.
• Familiarity with UAE/Dubai fire and life-safety requirements.
• Excellent communication and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform cooling and heating load calculations using Carrier HAP.
• Size ductwork, piping, and select equipment including FCUs, AHUs, VRF/VRV systems.
• Prepare detailed shop drawings and layouts using AutoCAD for HVAC and services.
• Coordinate MEP with interior design and other disciplines and resolve spatial conflicts.
• Ensure MEP designs comply with UAE regulations and authorities such as Dubai Municipality and DEWA.
• Prepare material submittals, technical compliance sheets, BOQs and other docs.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submissions before execution.
• Manage and monitor on-site HVAC and MEP installation work.
• Supervise installation of VRF/VRV systems and ventilation systems.
• Coordinate testing, balancing, and commissioning and prepare reports.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced MEPEngineer to join our team in Dubai Silicon Oasis. The ideal candidateshould have strong experience in MEP design and site execution,particularly within interior fit-out, joinery, or design consultancyenvironments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cooling and heating load calculations using softwaresuch as Carrier HAP.
  
• Size ductwork, chilled water piping, and select equipmentincluding FCUs, AHUs, FAHUs, and VRF/VRV systems.
  
• Prepare detailed shop drawings, schematic layouts, and as-builtdrawings using AutoCAD for HVAC, firefighting, drainage, and watersupply systems.
  
• Coordinate MEP services with interior design, architectural,electrical, and firefighting requirements and resolve any spatialconflicts before site execution.
  
• Ensure MEP designs comply with applicable UAE regulations andrequirements of authorities such as Dubai Municipality, Dubai CivilDefense, DDA, and DEWA.
  
• Prepare material submittals, technical compliance sheets, BOQs,and other technical documentation.
  
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and contractorsubmissions before execution.
  
• Manage and monitor day-to-day HVAC and MEP installation workson site.
  
• Supervise the installation of VRF/VRV systems, ductwork,chilled water piping, FCUs, AHUs, and ventilation systems.
  
• Direct technicians, ductmen, pipe fitters, and subcontractorsand monitor daily progress.
  
• Assist with testing, adjusting, balancing (TAB), commissioning,and final authority inspections.
  
• Coordinate effectively with the Project Manager and otherproject team members to provide technical support.
  
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
  
• Monitor contractor performance and daily accomplishments.
  
• Resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with approveddrawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
  
• Monitor MEP works throughout the project to ensure timelycompletion.
  
• Ensure proper implementation of MEP works in accordance withapproved plans, specifications, safety requirements, and housekeepingstandards.
  
• Take responsibility for the timely completion of MEP-relatedworks and activities.
  
• Coordinate and oversee the testing and commissioning of MEPsystems.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in mechanical/MEPdesign, preferably with design consultancy or interior fit-out companies.
  
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, firefighting, drainage, and watersupply systems.
  
• Experience in preparing HVAC and piping drawings, designs, andcalculations.
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Carrier HAP.
  
• Knowledge of HASS/DuctSizer and similar MEP designsoftware.
  
• Revit MEP knowledge will beconsidered an advantage.
  
• Good understanding of ASHRAE, SMACNA, and applicableUAE/Dubai fire and life-safety requirements.
  
• Strong knowledge of site inspections and MEP site execution.
