Job summary

ALFIRAS General Contracting seeks an Electrical Estimation Engineer with 2–4 years of UAE experience in MEP estimation within the construction industry. The candidate will handle electrical and ELV quantity take-offs, cost estimation, pricing, and tender submissions.

The role requires reading drawings, preparing BOQs, and coordinating with procurement and project teams to ensure accurate, competitive estimates and timely submissions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years UAE experience in electrical estimation within MEP construction.
• Experience in quantity take-offs for electrical and ELV systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation-related software.
• Ability to prepare cost estimates, tender pricing, and BOQ evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs for electrical and ELV systems for MEP construction projects.
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs from electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to identify project requirements and potential discrepancies.
• Prepare material, labour, and installation cost estimates based on project requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
• Analyse costs, compare quotations, and assist in preparing tender submissions.
• Coordinate with the procurement, technical, and project teams to clarify requirements and optimise costs.
• Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and submitted within the required deadlines.
