Job summary

Charles Russell Speechlys is seeking an Associate for its Bahrain office within the MENA Corporate practice. You will support cross‑border corporate, commercial and finance work across the GCC and UK, including secondments to client in‑house teams as required.

The role involves working with a broad client base, managing complex transactions, and contributing to business development in the Middle East.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 2–4 years’ PQE and eligibility to practice in a common law jurisdiction.
• Experience advising clients in the GCC region on corporate, commercial and finance matters.
• Arabic language skills preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and commercial legal advice to clients in a clear and succinct manner.
• Manage a substantial and varied workload with appropriate supervision.
• Draft documents using precedents and negotiate related transaction documents.
• Coordinate due diligence across the Firm and liaise with international counsel.
• Undertake corporate reorganisation and restructuring work.
• Assist on investment mandates and drafting constitutional documents.
• Draft and review finance documentation and opinions on enforceability.
• Support cross‑border transactions and client relationship development.
• Secondments to client in-house teams as required.
