Job summary

Confidential Company in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Mechanical Estimator for Utilities Infrastructure to join its Tendering Estimation team. The role focuses on STP pump stations, water and wastewater networks, DI/HDPE/GRP piping and related mechanical cost estimations.

You will review tender documents, perform quantity take-offs, develop cost build-ups and coordinate with Civil, Electrical and Process teams to ensure compliant, competitive submissions within tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in STP mechanical processes and equipment.
• Ability to prepare competitive mechanical cost estimates.
• Experience with tender submissions and cost breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, IFB, drawings, specifications, BOQs and scope of work.
• Prepare detailed mechanical cost estimates for STP, pump stations, and piping networks.
• Perform quantity take-offs for pumps, equipment, piping, valves and chambers.
• Develop cost build-ups covering materials, equipment, installation, labour, testing & commissioning.
• Prepare RFQs and evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotations.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, and Process teams during tender preparation.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator Utilities Infrastructure to join our Tendering Estimation team in Abu Dhabi The ideal candidate will have strong experience in STP pump stations water wastewater infrastructure projects with proven expertise in preparing competitive mechanical cost estimates tender submissions and value engineering solutions

• Review tender documents, IFB, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and scope of work.
• Prepare detailed mechanical cost estimates for:Sewage Treatment Plants (STP – Package & Conventional)Sewage & Stormwater Pump StationsPotable Water & Irrigation NetworksRising Mains and DI/HDPE/GRP Pipeline Systems
• Perform quantity take-offs for:Pumps, blowers, mixers, screensMechanical equipment and accessoriesPiping, valves, fittings, chambers
• Develop detailed cost build-ups covering:MaterialsEquipmentInstallation labourTesting & commissioningSubcontract works
• Prepare RFQs, coordinate with suppliers/subcontractors, and evaluate technical & commercial quotations.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and recommend cost-effective solutions.
