• Understanding RFQ drawings, schematics, project specifications and interpreting requirements.
• Floating RFQs to external vendors and internal technical teams for pricing.
• Creating Technical write ups for specific bid submissions.
• Optimizing overall costs for competitive offers.
• Preparing and maintaining estimation price list.
• Keeping all RFQ and project files confidential.
• Raising RFIs, responding to Technical Queries and Bid Evaluation Queries.

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer with experience in estimation, specifically within MEP companies. The candidate will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimations for mechanical engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Estimation of all HVAC, F&G detection and suppression and Plumbing systems.
• Understanding RFQ drawings, schematics, project specifications and interpreting requirements clearly for estimations.
• Floating RFQs to external vendors and internal technical team for pricing and offer compilation.
• Ability to create Technical write ups for specific bid submissions.
• Optimizing overall costs to prepare the most cost effective and compatible offer to increase win rates.
• Preparing and maintaining estimation price list and periodically updating latest costs.
• Keeping all respective RFQ and project files safe and confidential.
• Raising RFIs, responding to Technical Queries, Bid Evaluation Queries and formulating effective responses.
• Checking for adherence of specification and prices to authority regulations mainly: ADNOC, Qatar Energy, ARAMCO, KOC, DEWA, ADDC, ADWEA, TRANSCO, UAE, KSA and other international country regulations.
