Job summary

Kinetics Group is seeking a skilled Mechanical Draftsman to join our engineering team in Dubai. You will develop AutoCAD drawings for MEP and construction projects, review designs, and prepare BOQs and material take-offs to support project planning and execution.

The role requires 3–5 years of drafting experience, strong AutoCAD skills, and the ability to coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure accurate documentation and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or drafting.
• 3–5 years of professional drafting experience in mechanical, MEP, or construction projects.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on AutoCAD experience.
• Experience preparing shop drawings, BOQs, and material take-offs.

Mechanical Draftsman – MEP & Construction

Kinetics Group is seeking an experienced and detail-orientedMechanical Draftsmanto join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AutoCAD drafting, mechanical shop drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and material take-offs for MEP and construction projects.

In this role, you will work closely with engineers and project teams to develop accurate technical drawings, coordinate design requirements, and maintain essential project documentation. Your contributions will support efficient project planning, material estimation, and successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate mechanical shop drawings, technical drawings, and construction details using AutoCAD.
• Review mechanical, MEP, architectural, and engineering drawings to incorporate design revisions and mark-ups.
• Prepare detailed material take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on project drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project teams to clarify technical requirements and resolve drafting issues.
• Ensure drawings, dimensions, quantities, and technical details comply with project specifications.
• Maintain updated drawing registers, revisions, BOQs, and technical documentation.
• Provide drafting and technical documentation support throughout project execution.
• Identify drawing discrepancies, coordinate corrections, and ensure documentation accuracy.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of professional experiencein mechanical drafting, MEP, or construction-related projects.
• Minimum3 years of hands-on AutoCAD experience.
• Minimum3 years of mechanical drafting experience.
• Practical experience preparing shop drawings, material take-offs, and BOQs.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and mechanical shop drawing preparation.
• Strong knowledge of MEP drawings, mechanical systems, and construction detailing.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and engineering drawings.
• Experience in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and material calculations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for quantity calculations, reporting, and documentation.
• Knowledge of drawing revisions, technical coordination, and document control.
