Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Material Handler Specialist, Foreman to coordinate yard activities, supervise manpower, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. You will oversee crane and forklift operations, assist riggers with offloading and packing, manage daily reports, and support site tasks while maintaining RFID scanning and equipment handling proficiency.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Work experience: 2–3 years in yard operations.
• Knowledge of crane, forklift operations and safety procedures.
• Familiarity with RFID scanners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate assigned tasks according to plan and priorities.
• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate for operations.
• Maintain safety and quality standards.
• Supervise crane, forklift and related equipment.
• Monitor daily operations.
• Report daily operations updates to Supervisor.
• Escalate issues to Supervisor.
• Safeguard public safety and security; know equipment policies and procedures.
• Supervise and support riggers with offloading, packing, bundling, picking.
• Support SKs with system tasks (HSE reports, weekly reports, data entry).
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.

• Ensuring Public Safety and Security. Should have knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
