Job summary

AL TARIQ is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch. You will drive throughput, enforce procedures, and maintain strict inventory accuracy and HSE compliance on the floor.

You will lead a team of handlers, pickers, and packers, monitor performance, and coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to resolve issues and maintain a seamless flow of materials.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in warehouse operations or logistics.
• Experience supervising warehouse teams including handlers, pickers, and packers.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and workflows.
• Experience implementing procedures and ensuring safety standards compliance.
• Exposure to defense, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing environments preferred.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Warehouse Team Leader supervises the daily execution of all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch. The role ensures the team meets throughput targets, follows approved procedures, and maintains full inventory accuracy and HSE compliance. Acting as the direct link between the Warehouse Manager and the operations team, the Warehouse Team Leader assigns tasks, monitors performance, and resolves issues on the floor to keep material flow running efficiently and without disruption.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Daily Operations Execution: Implement and oversee daily warehouse activities as directed by the Warehouse Manager. Ensure all receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch tasks are completed on time, in full, and in line with approved procedures and daily targets.
• Team Supervision: Supervise and guide warehouse handlers, pickers, and packers. Assign daily tasks, monitor execution, provide on-the-job coaching, and conduct shift briefings to communicate priorities, safety guidelines, and performance expectations.
• Inventory Accuracy & Control: Ensure all material movements — inbound, internal transfers, and outbound — are recorded accurately in the WMS. Conduct spot checks and support cycle counts. Report discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager and assist in implementing corrective actions.
• HSE & Compliance Enforcement: Enforce all HSE standards, warehouse safety protocols, and DG handling requirements. Ensure proper segregation and storage of hazardous, temperature-sensitive, and fragile items. Conduct regular safety checks and report incidents or non-compliance immediately.
• Equipment & Resource Coordination: Monitor the use of material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks. Ensure safe and efficient operation at all times. Report maintenance needs or resource shortages to the Warehouse Manager promptly.
• Reporting & KPI Traceability: Maintain structured daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on team performance, inventory accuracy, safety incidents, and operational issues. Issue daily updates on throughput and any exceptions.
• Prepare weekly summaries for the Warehouse Manager. Compile monthly inputs linked to KPI targets — inventory accuracy, OTD, damage rate, and cycle count compliance — with all figures traceable to transaction records for full audit readiness.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES EXPERIENCE

• 5-7 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics
• Proven experience supervising warehouse teams including handlers, pickers, and packers
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and operational workflows
• Experience implementing operational procedures and ensuring compliance with safety standards
• Exposure to defense, aerospace, or regulated manufacturing environments preferred

EDUCATION

• Certifications in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management preferred
• Training in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards is highly desirable
• Forklift operation and material handling certifications preferred

KEY SKILLS

• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch Proficiency in WMS and inventory management tools
