Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Material Handler Specialist, Foreman to coordinate tasks and supervise yard operations in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures adequate manpower, handles crane/forklift operations, and upholds safety and quality standards on site.

The candidate should have 2-3 years of yard experience, basic English proficiency, and strong organization and rigging knowledge to support riggers and daily reporting to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Education – High School or diploma.
• Work experience – 2-3 years in yard operations.
• Basic English fluency (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tasks according to plan and priorities.
• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate for operations.
• Supervise crane, forklift, and related equipment use.
• Monitor daily operations and report updates to Supervisor.
• Escalate and report issues to Supervisor.
• Support riggers with offloading, packing, bundling, and picking.
• Promote safety and security on site and ensure policy adherence.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management to meet business needs.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating assigned tasks according to plan and priorities.
• Ensuring Manpower and Resources are adequate for operations.
• Ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Supervising the use of machinery (Crane & Forklift) and Equipment (Gears & Lashing Belt).
• Monitoring daily operations.
• Reporting daily operations update to Supervisor.
• Escalate and report to Supervisor in case of any issues.
• Ensuring Public Safety and Security. Should have knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
• Supervising & supporting riggers with offloading, packing, bundling, picking activities.
• Supporting SKs with system related tasks (HSE Reports, weekly reports, data entry).
• Performing any other tasks that may be assigned by the manager from time to time to meet the needs of business.

Qualifications & Characteristics:
