Job summary

Swissotel Al Ghurair and Swissotel Living Al Ghurair seek an experienced Massage Therapist to deliver body conditioning treatments and massages to guests and club members in a premium Dubai hotel complex.

You will perform various body massage techniques, manage treatment equipment, and ensure a comfortable, hygienic, and relaxing environment while providing expert guidance on wellness options. Dubai-based role with the Accor hospitality standard of service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience in hotel industry is preferred.
• Certification in the disciplines is preferred.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
• Ability to promote positive relations with all hotel guests & colleagues.
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment.

Responsibilities

• Massage guests using kneading, rubbing and stroking techniques to stimulate circulation and relax muscles.
• Administer steam, heat, UV, infrared or water treatments on request.
• Provide guidance to clients on activities and remedial exercises.
• Record treatments furnished to customers.
• Keep treatment rooms tidy and stocked with towels, candles, oils, etc.
• Assist guests with massage and treatment package reservations.
• Perform duties professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Understand club facilities and membership pricing.
• Maintain high personal hygiene standards.
• Operate safely and environmentally responsibly for guests and staff health and safety.

It is linked to the Al Ghurair Shopping Centre, only 3 stops away on the Dubai Metro from the Dubai World Trade Centre and a 10 minute drive from Dubai International Airport.

Job Description

As a Massage Therapist you will be recommending and applying body conditioning treatments and massages to the Guests or leisure club members.

What you will be doing:

• Massage body, using techniques as kneading, rubbing and stroking to stimulate blood circulation, relax contracted muscles or to relieve other conditions
• Administer steam or dry heat, ultraviolet, infrared or water treatments on request of customer
• Provide directions to clients in activities such as reducing or remedial exercises
• Record treatments furnished to customers
• Ensure that treatment rooms are tidy and all the items available e.g. towels, candles, oils, etc.
• Aware of how to make reservation for massage and other treatment packages
• Perform duties in a professional manner to the full satisfaction of the Guests
• Understand the club facilities and the price of memberships
• Observe high standards of personal hygiene
• Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
• Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures

Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Dubai. Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair will cover visa costs and flights for selected candidates from place of origin.
