You will work under the Engineering Supervisor, performing masonry, construction, repair, and maintenance tasks with safety and quality at the forefront.

Responsibilities include wall construction, plaster repairs, tiling, and reading shop drawings, while ensuring compliance with building codes and preventive maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certifications in masonry or civil construction are preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of professional masonry or civil technician experience.

Responsabilités

• Repair wall plaster, renderings, and interior/exterior walls with precision.
• Erect new walls and demolish existing walls as directed by supervision.

Job Description

We're looking for a skilled and dedicated Mason to join our team in Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. As a Mason, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the structural integrity and aesthetic appeal of our facilities. Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of masonry, construction, repair, and maintenance tasks with precision and professionalism. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who is committed to delivering exceptional workmanship while adhering to the highest safety and quality standards. You will work collaboratively with our Engineering and operational teams to ensure seamless facility operations and respond proactively to maintenance requirements.

• Perform all masonry work including wall construction, floor work, and structural repairs following established safe work practices and procedures
• Execute repairs to wall plaster, renderings, and interior and exterior building walls with precision and attention to detail
• Carry out erection of new walls and demolition of existing walls as directed by the supervisor
• Install, repair, and maintain wall and floor tile work, ensuring quality finishes that meet organizational standards
• Respond immediately to all work requests concerning health and safety, demonstrating a cautious and proactive approach
• Maintain and repair all civil works while ensuring optimal condition and appearance through adherence to preventive maintenance programs
• Read and interpret shop drawings and specifications accurately, making rough estimates of required materials
• Use all general repair tools and equipment efficiently and maintain them in proper working condition
• Handle chemicals, paints, varnishes, strippers, and other finishing products in an environmentally responsible manner
• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests, maintaining courteous interactions with all stakeholders
• Complete all work orders with due diligence and maintain detailed civil log books documenting problems, solutions, and daily activities
• Maintain equipment catalogs and finishes/color directories for easy reference and organization
• Actively participate in monthly departmental meetings, providing constructive feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement
• Report and document potential safety hazards and participate in emergency response activities as directed
• Support the team by taking on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Civil Supervisor or Maintenance Engineers

• Required Qualifications:**
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Related technical or trades certification in masonry or civil construction
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a mason or civil technician, preferably in the hospitality industry or engineering environment
• Proficiency in all aspects of masonry refurbishment and maintenance work
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical specifications
• Competency in using general repair tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and health and safety practices
• Ability to estimate required materials and quantities accurately
• Basic knowledge of additional building operations skill sets beyond masonry
• Experience working in luxury hospitality or high-end facility management environments
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and civil works management
• Certification in occupational health and safety
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
