Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, through its Applied Technology and Management (ATM) unit in Dubai, seeks a Marine Structural Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join its marine and geotechnical practice. The engineer will work on coastal structures, harbors, and waterfront projects, performing design, analysis, and investigations for private and public sector clients.

Requirements include a civil/structural engineering degree and proficiency with major structural software.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering is required.
Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent.
Experience with coastal and waterfront projects is preferred.
Knowledge of Eurocode and British Standards is desirable.
Strong technical writing skills are required.

Responsibilities

Structural design for coastal and waterfront projects.
Prepare foundation and pile design and ground improvement recommendations.
Develop engineering solutions for complex structural/geotechnical problems.
Coordinate with marine and geotechnical team on projects.
Oversee waterfront structures and marine infrastructure projects.
Design harbors, marinas, mooring and berthing structures, seawalls, breakwaters.
Develop instrumentation monitoring systems.
Prepare reports, calculations, drawings, specs, and permit applications.
Attend client and regulatory meetings.
