Job summary

The role requires proficiency in major design tools, familiarity with Eurocode and British Standards, and excellent technical writing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Proficient with engineering software such as AUTOCAD, SAP2000, HILTI, ALLPILE, STAAD Pro, MATLAB, SWAN, SBEACH, MIKE21 and Plaxis.
• Strong oral and technical writing skills.
• Familiarity with Eurocode and British Standards.
• Experience on coastal and waterfront projects.

Responsibilities

• Structural design, coastal design, geotechnical investigation, and site layout.
• Prepare foundation and pile design as well as ground improvement recommendations.
• Develop engineering solutions to challenging structural and geotechnical problems and site conditions.
• Coordinate and support with marine and geotechnical team on projects.
• Oversee waterfront structure and marine infrastructure projects.
• Design and engineering for harbors, marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads and seawalls, breakwaters and shore protection structures, shoreline stabilization and sediment management.
• Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems.
• Small project/task management and proposal preparation support.
• Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications.
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

• Strong oral and technical writing skills.
• Familiarity with international structural design standards including Eurocode and British Standards.
• Familiarity and experience on coastal and waterfront projects.
