Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering (required).
• Advanced degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering (preferred).
• Professional engineer licensure (preferred).
• 7+ years of related experience (8+ preferred).
• Strong oral and technical writing skills (required).
• Familiarity with Eurocode and British Standards (preferred).
• Coastal and waterfront project experience (preferred).
• Experience with key software tools (2D/3D).

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale geotechnical and ground improvement projects from design through construction.
• Act as technical authority for geotechnical engineering, including ground improvement techniques.
• Plan, supervise boreholes, CPTs, lab testing, and geophysical surveys.
• Perform advanced geotechnical analyses: settlement, bearing capacity, slope stability, seismic design.
• Review GIRs, borehole records, and lab results.
• Lead technical reviews for design submissions and ensure compliance with codes.
• Oversee ground improvement validation and QA/QC procedures.
• Manage instrumentation and monitoring programs (e.g., piezometers, inclinometers).
• Coordinate with marine, coastal, structural, and construction teams.
