Job summary

Geosyntec is seeking a Marine Structural Engineer in Dubai, UAE, with at least five years of experience to support our marine and geotechnical practice. The role involves applying engineering skills to coastal and waterfront projects, including design, analysis, and site layout.

You will work on foundation and pile design, ground improvement and instrumentation monitoring, coordinating with a marine/geotechnical team, and preparing technical reports and permit applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil and/or structural engineering is required.
• Advanced degree in civil or structural engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Structural design, coastal design, geotechnical investigation, and site layout.
• Prepare foundation and pile design as well as ground improvement recommendations.
• Develop engineering solutions to challenging structural and geotechnical problems and site conditions.
• Coordination and support with marine and geotechnical team on projects.
• Oversee waterfront structure and marine infrastructure projects.
• Design and engineering for harbors, marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads and seawalls, breakwaters and shore protection structures, shoreline stabilization and sediment management.
• Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems.
• Small project/task management and proposal preparation support.
• Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory authorities.
