Job summary

HydroNavix Marine and Offshore Engineering in Dubai seeks a maritime structural engineer to design and oversee the construction of marine vessels and offshore structures, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and classification society standards.

You will develop general arrangements, hull forms, stability, and structural layouts, coordinate with engineering teams, perform hydrostatics and hydrodynamics calculations, and ensure compliance with IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL and classification

Responsibilities

• Develop general arrangements, hull forms, stability analysis, and structural layouts.
• Coordinate with structural, piping, and E&I engineering teams during design and construction.
• Perform hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, and resistance & propulsion calculations.
• Ensure designs comply with IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, and classification society requirements.
• Conduct mandatory site visits as per project requirements.
• Deployment in the client office and relocation as per project requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• AutoCAD (2D/3D) for drafting & detailing
• Proficiency in stability software (AutoHydro, Maxsurf)

Preferred Qualifications

• Rhino 3D, ShipConstructor, AVEVA Marine, CADMATIC
• OrcaFlex, GHS, MOSES for simulation & offshore load analysis
