Job summary

Confidential Company in Dubai is seeking an experienced Mooring Operations Lead to manage berthing, unberthing, and vessel movement at the jetty. You will oversee mooring boats, fenders, and berthing gear, ensuring HSE compliance during all marine activities.

You will coordinate with cargo and cruise terminals to position vessels, order necessary staff gear and supplies, and allocate tasks to the mooring crew for continuous port operations around the clock.

Qualifications

• Experience in mooring operations and vessel handling.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and port HSE requirements.
• Ability to lead a mooring crew on a 24h shift.

Responsibilities

• Berth/ unberth and shift vessels mooring at jetty for smooth movement.
• Maintain mooring boats and perform towing of pontoons, fenders, and berthing gear.
• Ensure safety procedures and HSE compliance during marine operations.
• Order stores such as paints, ropes, shackles, and safety accessories for staff.
• Secure and replace tyre fenders using chains, shackles, cranes, and forklift.
• Distribute work functions to mooring staff for 24h shift coverage.
• Daily inspect berths for safety of vessels and assist repositioning as needed.
• Coordinate with General Cargo and Cruise Terminal for vessel positioning.
