Job summary

NMDC Energy seeks an experienced Barge Supervisor to oversee all operations on an offshore barge in the UAE region. You will manage personnel, coordinate with the base, ensure fuel/water supply, and supervise maintenance and safety procedures to maintain high productivity and safe operations.

Responsibilities include warehousing, catering services, scheduling leave, and resolving personnel issues. Strong leadership and offshore experience are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good standard of English.
• All offshore safety training requirements.
• 15-18 years experience with offshore barge, structure and pipe laying.
• Organizational and leadership skills.
• Superior knowledge of offshore operations.
• Effective contractual and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• General administration and supervision of the barge with responsibility for personnel and equipment onboard.
• Coordinate with base for barge administration, progress reporting, and future barge requirements.
• Ensure proper fuel and water supply to the barge and support vessels by coordinating with the base.
• Coordinate maintenance of barge equipment and repairs, spares as needed.
• Supervise external and internal maintenance including painting, cleaning and housekeeping.
• Suggest and implement barge modifications for better operations and productivity.
• Supervise warehousing of stores on the barge and optimize space usage.
• Ensure proper catering services to barge personnel.
• Resolve personnel problems when unable to be resolved by juniors.
• Schedule leaves to ensure continuous operations on the barge.
• Promote safety consciousness and ensure installation safety measures are followed.
