Job summary

DP World is seeking a Marine Manager for UAE Ports in Dubai to lead day-to-day and strategic management of Maritime Solutions’ vessels and support services. You will oversee tug, pilot, and mooring operations, drive technical project execution, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires extensive leadership experience in port marine operations, budget development, and strong client coordination.

Qualifications

• Master STCW 2010 Certificate of Competency - Class 1 with deep sea sailing experience
• Substantial port marine operations experience in a shore-based management role
• Extensive experience in operational management of vessels as fleet manager or senior role
• 5+ years in technical management of vessels as a fleet manager or similar
• Experience with vessel acquisition programs and related ISM/quality systems
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day and long-term operational/technical management of Maritime Solutions Tugs, Pilot boats, and Mooring in UAE.
• Maintain relationships with clients and staff to deliver cost-effective, timely, high-quality service.
• Manage vessel docking, builds, modifications, and technical project solutions.
• Develop budgets and ensure expenditure aligns with approved budgets.
• Lead technical teams in project tenders, contracts, and cost sign-off.
• Develop and approve technical solution strategies in consultation with General Manager - UAE Ports.
• Ensure regulatory approvals (class, safety) are obtained on time.
• Provide 24/7 response capability and relief coverage as needed.
