Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Marine Inspector to support our marine and infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves inspecting and monitoring marine construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and project requirements.

Candidates should have a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Civil/Marine Engineering or Construction, plus relevant UAE experience in marine projects and strong reporting skills. On-site work model in Abu Dhabi is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil/Marine Engineering or Construction.
• Experience in marine construction inspection and supervision.
• Experience in marine and infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of reclamation, dredging, rock placement, revetments, breakwaters, seawalls.
• Experience with marine construction materials, testing, QC.
• Ability to read marine construction drawings and specs.
• UAE experience on major marine/infrastructure projects preferred.
• Good communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor marine construction activities per drawings/specs.
• Inspect marine works: reclamation, dredging, rock placement, revetments, breakwaters, seawalls.
• Monitor installation of piles, precast elements, concrete works.
• Witness field and lab testing; review test results and quality records.
• Review IRs, method statements, material approvals, technical submissions.
• Coordinate with Contractor, Marine Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer, Surveyor, Diver.
• Support underwater inspection activities with diving teams.
• Maintain daily inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Follow up on corrective actions for non-conforming works.
