Job summary

Career Raiser in Dubai seeks an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead budgeting, hardware, software, and data management across offices. You will drive planning, monitor performance, and ensure robust IT infrastructure to support business growth.

You will manage teams, align IT projects with corporate strategy, oversee Oracle ERP initiatives, data warehousing, and security, while mentoring staff and enforcing company policies.

Qualifications

• Post graduate degree in CS/IT Applications essential.
• 4-5 years of experience managing an IT operation.
• Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, networks and software systems.

• Lead hardware and software support for all offices in the territory.

Description

Budgeting and Planning

• Plan the concept/territory budget for discussing with Concept/ Territory Manager & Finance Manager and finalizing it with GM
• Monitor concept/ territory budgets every month with respect to actual merchandise received and discussing the same with Concept/ Territory Manager & Finance Manager
• Send financial data to corporate office in the stipulated format on a monthly basis
• Generate all exception reports for discussions with Finance Manager and General Manager
• Prepare comparative sales statements at department/group/subgroup levels for analyzing the performance of Sale/Promotion and other events

Hardware Support

• Provide hardware support to all offices within the territory/concept
• Responsible for installing, running and maintenance of the company hardware systems
• Ensure timely attending of problems regarding IT hardware issues to avoid any loss to business due these problems
• Set up the entire hardware infrastructure before the opening of new shops/offices
• Ensure that the IT system is up and running at all the times at its fullest efficiency
• Replace obsolete machines from various offices as per the approved budget
• Network Design / architecture for the showroom in an optimal manner with adequate redundancy
• Ensure maintenance of POS machines and other IT hardware by liaising with the maintenance contractor and to ensure timely renewal of AMC's
• Advice on new and future hardware technology for the benefit of the organization in the long run

Software Support

• Provide software support to all offices within the territory/ concept
• Responsible for installing, running and maintenance of in-house developed software programs including day-to-day trouble shooting
• Ensure timely attending of problems regarding IT software issues to avoid any loss to business due these problems
• Ensure no down time for networks due to network failure
• Manage data warehousing / mining, retrieval of back up data and checking of the same
• Set up the entire software infrastructure before the opening of new shops/offices
• Co-ordinate with Corporate IT to plan and execute major IT projects related with Oracle ERP system
• Advice on new and future softwares for the benefit of the organization in the long run

Data Management

• Ensure accurate and complete data capturing so that all the data is captured
• Ensure timely back up of data
• Retrieve the back up data if and when required and checking the same for the required information
• Manage data warehousing / mining
• Generate various MIS reports and ensure accurate and timely generation of reports

Miscellaneous

• Conduct automization for increased work efficiency / reducing manpower
• Keep self updated with the new technology as well as educating and training the team about the developments happening across.
• Assist in the budgeting of all the departments.
• Advice on new and future technology for the benefit of the organization in the long run
• Ensure that all licenses requiring renewal are renewed on time. Advise the management about requirement of new licenses
• Administration & Management of IT Department
• Analyze business process and its dependency on IT solution to provide appropriate IT solution
• Conduct training sessions for the employees to train them on various IT aspects

People Management

• Manage the performance of the team – set annual performance goals, monitor performance and provide constructive feedback to improve performance.
• Identify their training and development needs and ensure their fulfillment
• Develop and mentor subordinates to move to the next higher level of job. Develop career plans.
• Ensure compliance to Company policies and values

Education and Experience

• Post Graduate degree in Computer Sciences/ Certification in IT Applications from any accredited institute essential
• 4-5 years of experience of managing an IT operation
• Advanced knowledge of computer hardware
