Job summary

Jumeirah is seeking a skilled BMS Programmer/Administrator to join our Dubai-based facilities team. The role focuses on programming and maintaining BMS systems across luxury properties to ensure precise climate control and energy efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Program and administer BMS systems to control facilities' temperature, lighting, and operations.
• Plan and coordinate reprogramming/upgrading of BMS hardware and software to improve efficiency.
• Schedule and execute preventative maintenance for HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing via BMS coordination.
• Ensure BMS maintenance, functionality, and compliance with operating standards.
• Monitor BMS data to identify improvement opportunities and optimize cost-efficiency.

About the Job

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• Handle the programming and administration of the BMS systems according to the needs and requirements to support the accurate operation of the facilities and the management of the desired temperature, lighting, and operation of facilities.
• Plan and coordinate the reprogramming / upgrading of the BMS systems through installing new hardware and software’s to improve operational efficiency and enable energy savings.
• Participate in the scheduling and effective execution of the preventative maintenance of the HVAC / Electrical / Mechanical / Plumbing infrastructure by managing accordingly the BMS system and coordinating with all relevant parties for the effective execution of the maintenance activities.
• Ensure the proper maintenance of the BMS systems to maintain their functionality and compliance with operating standards.
• Monitor and record the values and data reported in the BMS system identifying areas for improvement and suggesting alterations in the programming of the system that will improve the qualitative and cost-efficient operation of the facilities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity so that Jumeirah Group provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant field
• 5–8 years of relevant hospitality sector experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong project management capabilities.
• Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused, with the ability to manage projects effectively.
