Job summary

Client of Michael Page is seeking a Manager - Development in the UAE to oversee the full lifecycle of large-scale master-planned projects. You will lead product development, master planning and coordination with design consultants to ensure on-schedule delivery within budget.

The role requires a strong background in real estate development in the UAE, a degree in a related field, and a track record delivering complex residential or mixed-use developments with rigorous feasibility and approvals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, real estate, finance or related discipline.
• Around 13+ years of real estate development experience within the UAE market recently.
• Proven experience delivering residential, mixed-use or master-planned developments.
• Strong understanding of development feasibility, planning approvals and development processes.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultants and preparing development briefs.

Responsibilities

• Manage product development and master planning for mixed-use projects.
• Initiate projects and coordinate development briefs.
• Support master planning and product development aligning projects with market demands and sustainability objectives.
• Manage all aspects of development process including due diligence entitlements construction and project closeout.
• Work closely with design consultants to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and specialist consultants to ensure timely project progression.
• Monitor project budgets programmes and key development milestones.
• Review development proposals and provide commercial and technical input throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage consultant appointments, contracts and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with relevant UAE planning regulations development guidelines and statutory requirements.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to support successful delivery.
• Prepare presentations reports and updates for senior management and key stakeholders.
• Support financial planning forecasting and cost monitoring throughout the development process.

A successful Manager - Development should have:

• Around 13+ years of real estate development experience within the UAE market in recent times
• Proven experience delivering residential, mixed-use or master-planned developments.
• Strong understanding of development feasibility, planning approvals and development processes.
• Demonstrated experience preparing development briefs and coordinating multidisciplinary consultants.
• Ability to manage projects through early development and design stages while ensuring programme and budget compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working with leading developers or master developers within the UAE is highly desirable.
