Khazna Data Centers is seeking a Manager – Commissioning to oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical, mechanical, and ELV systems in our Abu Dhabi facilities. You will lead system inspections, develop procedures, and coordinate with contractors and authorities to ensure compliance and operational readiness in a critical data center environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 7 years in data centre construction, ops and delivery, with 5+ years in testing, commissioning, operations and compliance.
• Proven experience managing operations, testing, and commissioning of complex electromechanical systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with timely delivery and quality.
• Strong knowledge of industry compliance requirements and local/international standards.
• Willingness to work on-site during commissioning, flexible hours, and to travel regionally.

• Oversee commissioning of new data center facilities, including hardware installation, system integration, and performance testing.
• Lead testing and commissioning of electrical, mechanical, and ELV systems.
• Develop commissioning procedures, schedules, SAT and IST scripts, and related documentation.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and good practices.
• Coordinate site meetings with contractors, technical advisors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Monitor project progress, milestones, risks, and commissioning schedules, providing regular updates.
• Collaborate with design teams to review drawings, clarify design intent, and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure system functionality, QA, safety compliance, and adherence to operational requirements.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and commissioning procedures.
• Witness FAT to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Liaise with government/local authorities to obtain approvals.
• Participate in prequalification and technical evaluation of advisors and GC contractors.
• Manage the Defects Liability Period (DLP) and coordinate defect closure with contractors.
• Oversee handover to Khazna Operations and end clients, ensuring compliance and readiness.

We are seeking a Manager – Commissioning to oversee the testing, commissioning, and handover of all electrical, mechanical, and ELV systems within the data center. The role ensures all installations meet project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and compliance requirements. Responsibilities include leading system inspections, tracking testing and commissioning progress, managing the Defects Liability Period (DLP), and coordinating defect closure with contractors. The role also ensures the smooth handover of completed systems to Khazna Operations and end clients, providing strong technical leadership and project management to ensure operational readiness in a critical data center environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Oversee commissioning of new data center facilities, including hardware installation, system integration, and performance testing.
• Lead testing and commissioning of electrical, mechanical, and ELV systems.
• Develop commissioning procedures, schedules, SAT and IST scripts, and related documentation.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and good practices.
• Coordinate site meetings with contractors, technical advisors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Monitor project progress, milestones, risks, and commissioning schedules, providing regular updates.
• Collaborate with design teams to review drawings, clarify design intent, and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure system functionality, quality assurance, safety compliance, and adherence to operational requirements.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and commissioning procedures.
• Witness and validate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Liaise with government and local authorities to obtain necessary approvals.
• Participate in the prequalification and technical evaluation of Technical Advisors and General Contractors.
• Manage the Defects Liability Period (DLP), coordinate defect closure with contractors, and ensure complete documentation.
• Oversee project handover to Khazna Operations and end clients, ensuring compliance, operational readiness, and continuous improvement through lessons learned.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in data centre construction, operations, and delivery, including at least 5 years in testing, commissioning, operations, and compliance.
• Proven experience managing operations, testing, and commissioning of complex electromechanical systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
• Strong knowledge of industry compliance requirements and local and international standards.
• Willingness to work on-site during commissioning, work flexible hours, and handle emergencies.
• Willingness to travel between local sites and offices, as well as regionally.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, client management, customer service, and awareness of emerging technologies.
