Job summary

noon is seeking a Manager, Commercial to drive revenue growth and profitability in the UAE, focusing on category operations, pricing, promotions, and supplier negotiations. You will lead cross-functional collaboration to optimise assortment and ensure optimal product availability.

The role requires deep knowledge of grocery/FMCG categories, solid data analysis skills, and a proven track record in delivering commercial results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in category management, category operations, commercial operations, or retail merchandising.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a commercially driven Manager with strong experience in category operations, commercial planning, and retail execution. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of grocery or FMCG categories, supplier management, pricing, promotions, and category performance, with a proven ability to drive revenue growth, improve margins, and optimise operations.

• Oversee category operations, including assortment planning, pricing, promotions, and product availability.
• Lead supplier and brand negotiations to secure competitive pricing, favourable commercial terms, and growth opportunities.
• Track and analyse category KPIs, including revenue, gross margins, sell-through, product availability, and promotional performance, to identify growth opportunities.
• Optimise product assortment, pricing strategies, and promotional plans to maximise category performance and profitability.
• Collaborate with supply chain, merchandising, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of commercial initiatives.
• Analyse market trends, competitor pricing, and consumer behaviour to identify opportunities and strengthen market positioning.
• Prepare regular performance reports and business reviews, translating insights into actionable recommendations and corrective measures.
• Drive process improvements and ensure compliance with commercial policies, operational standards, and business objectives.

What you'll need:

• 4-7 years of relevant experience in category management, category operations, commercial operations, or retail merchandising.
• Experience working with established retailers , grocery and FMCG businesses.
• Strong understanding of category performance, supplier negotiations, pricing, promotions, and margins.
• Proven ability to analyse business data and translate insights into commercial actions.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools or retail analytics platforms is an advantage.
