Job summary

Pure Harvest Smart Farms Ltd in the UAE is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to spearhead maintenance across three high‑tech greenhouse sites. You will drive preventive, predictive, and corrective programs to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.

You will manage budgets, oversee AMCs and spare parts, lead diverse teams, and collaborate with production and quality to meet production targets while upholding safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance management experience in industrial, agricultural, or comparable technical operations.
• Proven experience managing maintenance teams, maintenance budgets, contractors, and multi-site operations.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including LV/LC systems and diesel generators.
• Practical experience with HVAC systems and industrial utility equipment.
• Working knowledge of MV water‑cooled chillers, LPG boilers, and irrigation systems including RO/UF units.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Experience implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs and using reliability KPIs to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs, incorporating TPM principles to improve equipment effectiveness and reliability.
• Oversee maintenance activities across three UAE facilities, ensuring equipment availability and consistent maintenance standards.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, including MTBF, MTTR, equipment availability, and planned maintenance compliance, to drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee maintenance of HVAC and chiller plants, cooling towers, boilers, compressors, electrical systems, generators, irrigation and water treatment systems.
• Manage annual CAPEX and OPEX budgets, optimize maintenance expenditure, and develop cost‑effective solutions without compromising reliability or safety.
• Manage annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), service‑level agreements (SLAs), contractors, and service providers, ensuring compliance with agreed performance standards.
• Oversee technical procurement, critical spare parts planning, supplier negotiations, and inventory optimization to minimize operational risks and equipment downtime.
• Work closely with production, quality, and other operational teams to resolve bottlenecks, improve facility performance, and support production targets.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across our high-tech greenhouse facilities in the UAE, ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and uninterrupted production.

Role Overview

As Maintenance Manager, you will lead the maintenance strategy across three UAE sites covering approximately 160,000 m². You will drive preventive and predictive maintenance, improve equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and optimize maintenance costs while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational performance.

The role requires a strong technical background, hands‑on troubleshooting capability, and proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary maintenance teams and complex industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance Strategy: Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs, incorporating Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles to improve equipment effectiveness and reliability.
• Multi‑Site Operations: Oversee maintenance activities across three UAE facilities, ensuring equipment availability and consistent maintenance standards.
• Performance & Reliability: Establish and monitor KPIs, including MTBF, MTTR, equipment availability, and planned maintenance compliance, to drive continuous improvement.
• Critical Utilities & Systems: Oversee maintenance of HVAC and chiller plants, cooling towers, boilers, compressors, electrical systems, generators, and irrigation and water treatment systems.
• Budget & Cost Optimization: Manage annual CAPEX and OPEX budgets, optimize maintenance expenditure, and develop cost‑effective solutions without compromising reliability or safety.
• Contract & Vendor Management: Manage annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), service‑level agreements (SLAs), contractors, and service providers, ensuring compliance with agreed performance standards.
• Procurement & Spares Management: Oversee technical procurement, critical spare parts planning, supplier negotiations, and inventory optimization to minimize operational risks and equipment downtime.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality, and other operational teams to resolve bottlenecks, improve facility performance, and support production targets.

Key Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance management experience in industrial, agricultural, or comparable technical operations.
• Proven experience managing maintenance teams, maintenance budgets, contractors, and multi‑site operations.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including LV/LC systems and diesel generators.
• Practical experience with HVAC systems and industrial utility equipment.
• Working knowledge of MV water‑cooled chillers, LPG boilers, and irrigation systems, including reverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF) units.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Experience implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs and using reliability KPIs to drive improvements.
• Knowledge of Priva greenhouse climate control systems is an advantage.
