Job summary

RMK Industries LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of extrusion machinery in a manufacturing environment. You will perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on extruders, troubleshoot faults, and maintain accurate records and KPI reports to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven hands-on experience with extruders, extrusion lines, and associated equipment is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with maintenance-related audits, documentation, reports, and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, motors, drives, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, electrical diagrams, and equipment layouts.
• Good reporting, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with CMMS/maintenance management systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on manufacturing equipment, with a focus on extruders and related auxiliary machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults to minimize equipment downtime.
• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, breakdown reports, and spare-parts documentation.
• Prepare maintenance reports, including downtime analysis, root-cause analysis, corrective action reports, and KPI reports.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing maintenance-related documents, records, and compliance evidence.
• Ensure machinery complies with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and warehouse teams to plan maintenance activities with minimal production disruption.
• Monitor critical spare parts, raise purchase requests, and support inventory control.
• Identify opportunities for equipment improvement, energy savings, and increased machine reliability.
• Train operators or junior technicians on basic equipment care and first-level maintenance.
