Job summary

Client of Sperton Global AS is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician in Ras al-Khaimah, UAE, to keep production machines and utilities in safe, reliable operating condition. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and support root-cause analysis following approved procedures.

The role requires 2–6 years in industrial maintenance with knowledge of molding equipment, electrical and mechanical systems, and a strong focus on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a relevant trade.
• 2–6 years of experience in industrial maintenance; plastic manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of injection moulding, blow moulding, EBM, IBM machines and related equipment.
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting; good documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns of injection moulding, blow moulding, EBM, IBM machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, inspections and component replacements per checklists.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
• Maintain compressors, air dryers, chillers, pumps and cooling-water systems.
• Inspect motors, sensors, control panels, VFDs, PLCs, HMI systems and interlocks.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO, PTW, PPE and electrical isolation.
• Maintain maintenance job cards, spare-parts records and shift handover docs.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce repeated breakdowns.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor for parts, repairs and technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns of injection moulding blow moulding EBM IBM printing and auxiliary equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance lubrication inspections and component replacements as per approved checklists
• Troubleshoot mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic faults
• Maintain and support compressors air dryers chillers pumps and cooling-water systems
• Inspect and troubleshoot motors sensors control panels contactors starters VFDs servos PLC HMI systems and interlocks as applicable
• Maintain hydraulic pumps valves cylinders pneumatic systems solenoid valves and pressure circuits
• Follow safety procedures including Lockout Tagout LOTO Permit to Work PTW PPE electrical isolation and machine guarding
• Maintain maintenance job cards spare-parts consumption records and shift handover documentation
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce repeated machine breakdowns
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor Manager for spare parts major repairs and technical issues

Required Skills and Experience

• 2 6 years of experience in industrial maintenance plastic manufacturing experience is preferred
• Knowledge of injection moulding blow moulding EBM IBM machines and related auxiliary equipment
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of bearings gearboxes couplings alignment lubrication motors sensors and control circuits
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Basic knowledge of PLC HMI VFD servo systems and automation components
• Ability to use a multimeter and other approved testing equipment safely
• Good troubleshooting problem-solving teamwork and documentation skills
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and preventive maintenance procedures
