Job summary

Georgfischer in Dubai seeks an operator for production lines in plastic or pipe manufacturing. You will set up machines, load moulds, adjust settings, monitor quality, and document output.

Responsibilities

• Operate/ Prepare and set up the machine according to product specifications.
• Install the tool/ mould into the machine with proper alignment.
• Adjust machine settings to achieve desired product quality.
• Monitor supply of raw materials for continuous operation.
• Handle and store materials to prevent contamination or defects.
• Monitor production to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Perform visual inspections for defects or abnormalities.
• Adjust settings to correct defects and maintain consistency.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues during the process and coordinate with maintenance.
• Maintain records of production output, machine settings, and adjustments.
• Document issues, defects, or machine downtime for reporting.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use PPE when operating machinery.
• Perform regular cleaning and maintenance on machine and equipment.
• Ensure molds/tools are cleaned and maintained to extend lifespan.
• Communicate with team, supervisors, and quality control.
• Report deviations from procedures or quality issues promptly.
• Inform supervisor of malfunctions; coordinate with technicians.
• Record scrap or non-conforming products for review.

Key Responsibilities

• Install the Tool/ mould into the machine, ensuring proper alignment and configuration.
• Adjust machine settings, and processing, to achieve the desired product quality.
• Monitor and maintain an adequate supply of raw materials for continuous operation.
• Handle and store materials properly to prevent contamination or defects.
• Monitor the production process to ensure the products meet quality standards.
• Perform visual inspections of products for defects or abnormalities.
• Adjust machine settings as needed to correct defects and maintain product consistency.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise during the process,
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel to address and resolve technical problems promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and any adjustments made during the manufacturing process.
• Document any issues, defects, or machine downtime for reporting and analysis.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper safety procedures when operating machinery.
• Perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks on the machine and associated equipment.
• Ensure that molds/tools are cleaned and maintained properly to prevent defects and extend their lifespan.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and quality control personnel.
• Report any deviations from standard operating procedures or quality issues promptly.
• Contact the technician or supervisor if parts do not meet the quality standard as defined.
• Informs Supervisor of any malfunction in the machine; coordinates with Technicians to resolve the issue; keeps Supervisor informed of the progress.
• Records scrap or non-conforming products on a control sheet and stores it appropriately for review

• Minimum 2 years of relevant production operations and processes experience in plastic or pipe manufacturing environment.
• High school or equivalent
• Knowledge and experience in extrusion and/or moulding process a plus
• English writing skills
