Job summary

Gran Meliá Dubai Jumeirah is opening as a luxury seafront hotel with 366 rooms. We seek a Director of Sales to shape the hotel’s commercial success from day one, leading all sales and marketing activities across Luxury Leisure, Corporate, MICE, and High-End accounts.

The role requires a proven track record in luxury sales leadership, Dubai market knowledge, and pre-opening experience. You will drive commercial strategy, teams, and revenue targets in collaboration with GM and HQ counterparts.

Qualifications

• Senior leader with luxury hospitality experience and track record in sales leadership.
• Deep knowledge of Dubai/UAE market with B2B, Corporate and MICE networks.
• Pre-opening hotel experience is a strong advantage.
• Strategic, hands-on sales leader with negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to translate luxury brand DNA into effective commercial strategies.
• Excellent communication and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the sales strategy for pre-opening and ongoing operations, aligned with brand positioning and business objectives.
• Lead sales and marketing across Luxury Leisure, Corporate, MICE, High-End and Strategic Accounts.
• Build and manage key local, regional, and international luxury accounts.
• Drive pre-opening commercial action plans, including campaigns and site inspections.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management on pricing, positioning, and demand strategies.
• Represent the hotel at luxury trade fairs, events, and platforms.
• Lead and develop a high-performing sales team aligned with luxury service standards.
• Monitor performance through KPIs and reviews to ensure revenue targets.
• Own the sales budget, forecasts, and commercial planning.
