InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa is seeking a talented and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our Main Kitchen team. You will support the culinary leadership in delivering exceptional dining experiences and maintaining high food quality standards.

You will supervise colleagues, ensure dishes meet recipes and standards, assist with menu development and costing, and help train junior chefs while upholding HACCP and hygiene practices.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts preferred.
• Previous experience as Junior Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in a luxury hotel or high-volume kitchen environment.
• Strong knowledge of international cuisine, food preparation techniques, and kitchen operations.
• Experience in managing kitchen sections, supervising colleagues, and maintaining consistent food quality.
• Good understanding of food costing, inventory management, portion control, and waste reduction.
• Sound knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and develop junior culinary colleagues.

Aufgaben

• Oversee daily Main Kitchen operations with the Sous Chef and senior culinary leadership.
• Supervise culinary colleagues to ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and service standards.
• Ensure dishes are prepared according to established recipes, portions, and luxury dining standards.
• Assist with menu planning, recipe development, food costing, and introduction of new concepts.
• Monitor stock usage and portion control to minimise waste and maintain food costs.
• Support training and development of junior chefs; promote teamwork and a positive environment.
