IHG Hotels & Resorts invites applications for a Junior Sous Chef at InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa. You will support the Main Kitchen leadership, ensure consistent high-quality dishes, and help implement new culinary concepts across luxury dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
• Previous experience as Junior Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in luxury hotel or high-volume kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of international cuisine, food preparation techniques, and kitchen operations.
• Experience in managing kitchen sections, supervising colleagues, and maintaining food quality.
• Knowledge of food costing, inventory management, portion control, and waste reduction.
• Sound knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
• Leadership, communication, and organisational skills to develop junior culinary colleagues.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high culinary standards.
• Positive attitude and passion for cooking with commitment to guest dining experiences.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Support the Sous Chef and senior culinary leadership in overseeing daily Main Kitchen operations.
• Supervise culinary colleagues to maintain food quality, presentation, and service standards.
• Ensure dishes are prepared according to recipes, portions, and luxury dining standards.
• Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and food costing.
• Monitor stock usage and portion control to minimise waste and costs.
• Support training and development of junior chefs and promote teamwork.
• Maintain HACCP and local hygiene standards in the kitchen.
• Coordinate with other culinary sections and Food & Beverage teams.
• Assist with kitchen scheduling, daily briefings, and operational planning.
