Job summary

Al Zorah Beach Resort in Ajman, United Arab Emirates is seeking a Reservations professional to manage inquiries, explain room categories and rates, and convert enquiries into bookings with upselling. Strong English communication, attention to detail and familiarity with Opera PMS are essential.

You will coordinate with Front Office and other departments, maintain guest profiles, handle cancellations, and support revenue goals while delivering personalised service to luxury guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Reservations within a hotel or resort, preferably in luxury hospitality.
• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Opera PMS or a comparable hotel property management system.
• Good understanding of room categories, rate plans, reservation procedures and booking policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling reservations and guest information.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple enquiries, prioritise tasks and meet response deadlines.
• Confidence in explaining hotel offerings and identifying suitable upselling opportunities.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Handle individual and group reservation enquiries through telephone, email and other approved communication channels.
• Provide accurate information on room categories, rates, packages, availability and resort facilities.
• Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings through attentive communication and appropriate upselling.
• Create, modify and cancel reservations accurately in Opera PMS, following established procedures.
• Verify booking details, payment arrangements, special requests and reservation confirmations.
• Maintain accurate guest profiles, preferences and booking information.
• Process cancellations, amendments and no-show reservations in accordance with hotel policies.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Sales and other departments regarding guest requirements and booking arrangements.
• Communicate with travel agents, corporate clients and other booking partners professionally.
• Monitor assigned reservation requests and follow up on pending enquiries within established timelines.
• Assist with daily reservation reports, booking records and administrative tasks.
• Follow approved rate structures, inventory controls and reservation procedures to maintain booking accuracy.
