Job summary

RIXOS Abu Dhabi is seeking an Assistant Laundry Manager to support the Laundry Manager in daily operations of the hotel laundry and linen services. The role ensures guest laundry, linen, and uniforms are processed to luxury standards with hygiene and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of laundry experience in a 5-star environment, proven supervisory skills, and strong knowledge of fabric care and industrial equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of laundry experience, preferably in luxury hospitality
• Previous supervisory or team-leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial laundry operations, linen handling and fabric care
• Understanding of hygiene, health & safety and quality-control procedures
• Experience with industrial laundry equipment and basic troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Assist Laundry Manager in overall laundry department operations
• Supervise and coordinate laundry team for efficient workflow and productivity
• Monitor washing, drying, pressing, folding, sorting, and distribution of linen and laundry items
• Ensure procedures follow fabric-care instructions and quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in the laundry area
• Inspect processed linen and uniforms for quality and presentation
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Rooms Division, F&B on linen requirements
• Handle guest laundry and special requests with care and promptness
• Monitor equipment condition and report technical issues timely
• Assist with preventive maintenance and supplier coordination
• Control use of chemicals and supplies to minimize waste and costs
• Maintain records and prepare operational reports
• Support audits, inspections, and departmental projects
• Step in for Laundry Manager in their absence
