Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group in Dubai Festival City is seeking a Guest Experience Specialist to welcome guests and manage bookings, check-ins, and inquiries. You will ensure high-quality service, upsell opportunities, and smooth transactions in a luxury hotel environment.

The role requires guest-focused communication, English fluency, and flexibility for night and weekend work. Prior front desk experience in a 5-star property is preferred, with room for growth within a globally renowned luxury

Qualifications

• Clear communication with guests and colleagues.
• Fluency in English; additional languages a plus.
• Tech-savvy with basic math; familiar with Opera reservations system.
• Flexible for night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a bonus.
• At least 1 year front desk/guest service in a 5-star property.

Responsibilities

• Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience.
• Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, in person or on the phone.
• Take and manage guest bookings, up-selling opportunities and informing guests about ways to improve their stay.
• Handle cash and credit transactions.
• Check guests in and out quickly, collect IDs, issue room keys, and manage safes as required.
• Record and act on guest preferences, and handle messages, requests and concerns.
• Be a trusted contact for all guests and escalate to management when needed.
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents; wear required protective gear.
• Maintain a neat appearance and serve as a brand ambassador.
• Know daily events and activities; assist guests with information.
• Support colleagues with ad-hoc duties as needed.
