Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced waiter/waitress to join a luxury hotel restaurant team in Abu Dhabi. You will deliver high-standard F&B service, knowledge of menu items, and beverage guidelines while maintaining impeccable grooming and professionalism.

You will engage guests, upsell items when appropriate, and ensure smooth service through accurate opening/closing procedures and adherence to HACCP standards. Flexibility for varied shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year or more of relevant experience as a waiter/waitress in a professional food & beverage environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of F&B service, menu items, preparation methods, ingredients, portions and pricing.
• Luxury hospitality experience is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic financial transaction handling.
• Current Food Hygiene Certificate or HACCP certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure grooming standards are followed at all times.
• Exceed guest satisfaction by knowing preferences and updating profiles.
• Maintain knowledge of restaurant menu and daily specials.
• Familiar with beverage service including glasses and garnishes.
• Follow up financial targets and daily metrics for area/division.
• Use opening and closing checklists to ensure smooth venue operations.
• Keep service stations clean, stocked and organized during service.
• Serve and clear food and beverages in a professional manner.
• Present menus proactively to guests.
• Report guest feedback for glitch logging and action.
