Job summary

Hyatt Regency Morristown at Headquarters Plaza is seeking an Events Manager to lead the events sales team, drive revenue, and ensure seamless management from planning to completion. The role combines commercial strategy, client relationship management, and leadership to deliver luxury events aligned with brand standards.

You will oversee enquiries, proposals, contracts, and sales agreements while building relationships with corporate clients and agencies to generate repeat business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Events Management, Sales, Business Administration, or related discipline (as stated).
• Proven track record in event revenue targets, lead conversion, and profitability (as stated).
• Experience with luxury hospitality environment and event sales systems (Opera/Envision, CRM).
• Strong leadership, coaching, and client-service orientation (as stated).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Events Sales team to generate, convert, and manage event and group business.
• Develop strategies to increase banquet and catering revenue and space utilization.
• Evaluate enquiries to align with commercial objectives and luxury branding.
• Monitor lead conversion, booking pace, production, pipeline, and forecasts.
• Oversee timely handling of enquiries and ensure professional proposals and contracts.
• Build relationships with corporate clients, agencies, and event organizers for repeat business.
• Oversee multiple events from planning through post-event follow-up.
• Ensure seamless handover between Groups Sales and Events with accurate client requirements.
• Review banquet orders, group resumes, and event documentation for accuracy and distribution.
• Lead pre-convention and cross-departmental meetings to ensure delivery.
