Job summary

InterContinental Fujairah Resort in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an Events Executive to drive revenue from corporate and social events. You will manage relationships with key accounts, identify new opportunities, and convert leads into booked events.

Lead planning and execution of Banquets, coordinate with outlets and F&B, prepare proposals, contracts, and BEOs, and ensure guest satisfaction from inquiry to post-event follow-up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher education qualification or prior experience in Sales or Hospitality or related field.
• Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required.
• Good communication and administrative skills.
• Ability to be self-motivated, organized and demonstrate good teamwork.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft applications), Opera, Delphi.
• Pro-active approach, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Must speak English; other languages preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes inquiries for Outlets, Banquets, or any other F&B revenue and converts them into sales.
• Prepares offers, contracts and Banquet Event Orders in line with standards and manuals.
• Contacts clients before arrival to conduct final checks and host on the day of the event, following up for satisfaction and future bookings.
• Monitors productivity and revenue goals by maintaining sales action plans.
• Interacts with existing and new clients through show-arounds, entertainments and lunches when required.
• Solicits referrals and follows up on potential sales opportunities.
• Communicates customer specifications to the operations team to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Promotes the hotel to discover additional business and refers opportunities timely.
• Maintains promotion materials, database, and correspondence files.
• Assists with planning and development of promotional strategies and marketing plans.
