Job summary

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi is seeking a Restaurants, Bars & Experiences Cook to join our Culinary team. Based at the Emirates Palace property, the Cook supports the preparation and production of high-quality dishes while maintaining food safety and luxury standards.

You will work closely with the Chef de Partie and colleagues to ensure flawless service, embrace Mandarin Oriental standards, and contribute to guests' exceptional dining experiences across Restaurants, Bars &

Qualifications

• Culinary qualification, apprenticeship or relevant kitchen training preferred.
• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred.
• Understanding of HACCP, food safety, hygiene and sanitation requirements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Team-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Specialisation in Japanese cuisine will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the kitchen team in the preparation and production of menu items.
• Prepare ingredients, mise-en-place, and basic food items according to established recipes and Mandarin Oriental standards
• Assist in à la carte food preparation as required.
• Ensure assigned workstations are organized, stocked, and ready for service.
• Support the preparation of culinary offerings in accordance with approved recipes, quality standards and guest expectations.
• Work closely with Chef de Partie and culinary colleagues to support daily operations.
• Follow instructions and complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Learn and apply culinary standards, techniques and best practices under the guidance of senior culinary colleagues.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure operational priorities are met.
• Follow food labelling, stock rotation, and storage procedures.
• Adhere to company policies, health and safety requirements, and operational standards.
