Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Abu Dhabi, located at Emirates Palace, is seeking a Cook to support the culinary team in high-quality food preparation while upholding food safety and hygiene standards. You will assist with daily kitchen operations, mise-en-place, and contribute to the guest dining experiences across Restaurants, Bars & Experiences.

You will work under the guidance of senior colleagues, learning Mandarin Oriental standards and techniques, with a focus on teamwork, reliability, and adaptability

Qualifications

• Culinary qualification, apprenticeship, or relevant kitchen training.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and production of menu items.
• Prepare ingredients and mise-en-place according to recipes and standards.
• Support la carte food preparation as required.
• Maintain organized, stocked workstations for service.
• Adhere to Mandarin Oriental standards and guest expectations.
• Collaborate with Chef de Partie and kitchen colleagues.
• Follow instructions and complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Learn and apply culinary techniques under senior guidance.
• Communicate effectively to meet operational priorities.
• Follow labeling, stock rotation, and storage procedures.
