Job summary

Sofitel Dubai The Palm invites applications for a talented bartender to join our beverage team. You will set up the bar at the start of each shift, prepare cocktails to the Sofitel standard, verify drink counts, and process orders with accuracy.

Candidates should have at least two years' bartending experience in a luxury environment, deep knowledge of wine, beer and cocktails, and a keen eye for cleanliness, organization, and guest service. Immediate joining is preferred.

• Impeccable knowledge of wine, beer, and cocktails.
• Passion for food, beverages, and delivering excellent customer service.
• Strong ability to multitask efficiently.
• Excellent skills in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
• Positive attitude with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain an organized, well-stocked, and clean bar.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with service that meets Sofitel standards for food and beverage quality, presentation, and sanitation, always in a gracious and professional manner.
• Take pride in all aspects of service, including quality, appearance, and cleanliness, both personally and within your area of responsibility.
• Understand and strictly adhere to the Beverage Department’s Standard Operating Procedures, while actively seeking opportunities to recommend improvements.
• Professionally set up the bar at the start of each shift, including arranging liquor, ice, glassware, juices, and garnishes.
• Process drink orders in the correct sequence, verify the number of drinks, and handle billing efficiently and accurately.
• Prepare all cocktails following the Sofitel standard beverage manual, ensuring the use of full standard measures.
• Receive and check liquor deliveries against previous shift requisitions; promptly report any discrepancies to the F&B Supervisor.
• Maintain security within the work area and remain at the bar until properly relieved by a colleague.
• Assist with cleanup duties, including mopping floors, removing cans and bottles, cleaning rails and counters, and disposing of melting ice from bins.
