Job summary

Al Tayer Motors in Dubai seeks an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee the After Sales service function, lead the workshop team, and drive productivity and customer satisfaction.

You will develop policies, manage budgets, ensure safety, coordinate with Autoline, and maintain quality repair processes while maximizing profitability. The role requires 7+ years in workshop management in auto brands, strong leadership, and the ability to align with group strategy in a luxury automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree in engineering (Mechanical/technical) discipline and management qualification.
• Experience in workshop management within auto brands, minimum 7 years.
• Understanding of fleet business (B2B) and End consumer marketing know-how (B2C).
• Strategically and conceptual thinking, with strong leadership.
• Ability to communicate effectively and negotiate; skills in project, quality and strategy management.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams, plan and prioritize workload.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development of After Sales strategy from service perspective.
• Develop policies and procedures framework for Workshop function.
• Review effectiveness of policies and procedures for continuous improvement.
• Manage workshop budget and control expenses within approved limits.
• Supervise daily workshop activities and maximize resource use.
• Coordinate with Autoline staff for system changes and reports.
• Oversee customer reception area and ensure professional handling of customers.
• Perform periodic facility checks and review service jobs for quality and timeliness.
• Ensure repair orders are raised and processed per guidelines.
• Support technical staff to maintain tools and safety standards.
• Supervise mechanics to follow workshop processes for quality and profitability.
• Contact customers for periodic maintenance reviews and updates on costs.
• Ensure proper handover of vehicles including invoice explanations.
• Provide feedback to Principals on product quality and required resolutions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers for parts and services.
• Facilitate audits to ensure correct repair order write-ups and procedures.
• Implement Health, Safety, and Security policies per Group guidance.
• Coordinate training with HR to maintain service standards.
• Provide leadership and conduct weekly KPI meetings.
