Job summary

One&Only The Palm Dubai is seeking a Pastry Commis I to join the pastry team. You will assist in baking pastries and desserts, maintain mise-en-place, and support high-volume production while upholding quality and hygiene standards.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in a pastry kitchen, strong English communication, and a passion for delivering premium products in a luxury hotel environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a pastry kitchen, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort, or restaurant.
• Basic knowledge of pastry and bakery preparation.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake pastries, desserts, breads per established recipes.
• Maintain mise-en-place and ensure ingredients are ready for service.
• Follow HACCP standards and hygiene procedures.
• Support pastry production for banquets, events, and high-volume operations.
• Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of shortages or replenishment needs.
• Collaborate with Pastry Chef de Partie and senior team members.
