Job summary

Kempinski Hotels in Dubai is seeking a Bartender to serve beverages with courtesy and professional service, maximizing guest satisfaction and sales. You will maintain the bar setup, have in-depth knowledge of the outlet menu, and assist guests with recommendations.

You will greet guests warmly, mix and garnish drinks, and upsell to enhance revenue while managing inventory and adapting to busy periods. English language skills are essential, and previous experience in a luxury five-star hotel

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Preferably in an international, luxury five-star hotel.
• English - excellent communication skills.
• Should be result & quality driven.
• Ability to handle high volume with attention to detail.
• Ability to cope with changing priorities and multiple tasks at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis.
• Responsible for the daily inventory update.
• Acquire in depth knowledge of the food & beverage menu of the assigned outlet in order to assist and provide advice to guests.
• Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Mix, garnish and serve drinks according to the guest requests.
• Ensure the Outlet is set-up for service and supervise for a smooth operation.
• Ensure proper organization, planning and control of supplies and maintain concise record of all beverage stock in order to ensure that the required is available
• Ensure minimum wastage, breakage and spoilage
• Actively use up selling techniques by exceeding guest expectations and to increase revenue
