Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd. in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Associate Logistics & Trade Compliance Specialist to support routine logistics and trade tasks within established procedures.

You will coordinate vessel berthing requests, prepare cargo manifests for pipes, mattresses, sleepers, and other project materials, and help manage transport documentation. The role requires a degree in supply chain or related field (or equivalent experience), strong MS Office skills, and keen attention to detail

Qualifications

• Requires a degree or equivalent in supply chain management or related field with relevant experience.
• Experience in logistics, trade compliance, or shipments is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook) and detail-oriented.
• Strong written and verbal communication; well-organized and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating the transportation of goods, including arranging shipments, managing logistics providers, and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery
• Support with the development and maintenance of transportation documents
• Maintain accurate records of import/export activities
• Review, audit, and verify all Logistics Service Providers’ invoices to ensure compliance
• Monitor and record all invoice records
• Reject all invoices with missing records and incorrect charges and ensure the logistic service provider is continuously updated on invoice rejection and status
• Ensure proper follow-up is done to resolve any disputed invoices on time
• Ensure managers’ approvals are obtained on time
• Maintain and update daily, weekly, and monthly accounts management report
