Job summary

LutechResources in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Associate Logistics & Trade Compliance Specialist to support routine logistics and trade tasks within our energy sector team. You will follow established procedures, coordinate vessel berthing, manage cargo manifests, and assist with import/export documentation to ensure timely and compliant shipments.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in SCM or related field, 0–3 years of experience, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management (or related) with 2 years of relevant experience.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Logistics background preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating the transportation of goods, including arranging shipments and tracking.
• Support development and maintenance of transportation documents.
• Maintain accurate records of import/export activities.
• Review, audit, and verify Logistics Service Providers’ invoices for compliance.
• Monitor and record all invoice records.
• Reject invoices with missing records and keep providers updated on status.
• Follow up to resolve disputed invoices on time.
• Ensure managers’ approvals are obtained on time.
• Maintain and update daily/weekly/monthly accounts management reports.

Job Overview:

The Associate Logistics & Trade Comp Spec is responsible for utilizing existing Logistics & Trade Compliance procedures to solve routine or standard problems. They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team, and they will leverage their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to Logistics & Trade Compliance and Supply Chain. Candidate should be able to coordinate vessel berthing requests and outward clearance documentation, manage the loading of materials onto vessels and barges, ensuring accurate cargo manifest preparation. Candidate should be able to prepare cargo manifests for loadouts for pipes, mattresses, sleepers, and other project materials.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assist in coordinating the transportation of goods, including arranging shipments, managing logistics providers, and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery
• Support with the development and maintenance of transportation documents
• Maintain accurate records of import/export activities
• Review, audit, and verify all Logistics Service Providers’ invoices to ensure compliance
• Monitor and record all invoice records
• Reject all invoices with missing records and incorrect charges and ensure the logistic service provider is continuously updated on invoice rejection and status
• Ensure proper follow-up is done to resolve any disputed invoices on time
• Ensure managers’ approvals are obtained on time
• Maintain and update daily, weekly, and monthly accounts management report

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management (or a relevant discipline) or HSD/GED/IGCSE with 2 years of relevant experience
• 0-3 years of relevant experience
• A logistics-related background is preferred
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Demonstrates attention to detail, reliability, and ability to learn new topics and technology quickly
• Well-organized and detail-oriented
• Solid written and verbal communication skills

Successful degree holding candidates will be required to provide a degree equivalency certificate issues by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR).
